This is a Webmaster Forum. But in the first place dedicated to WordPress and Graphic design.

WordPress and Graphic design represent a large part of any Webmaster's work so the vast majority of you will find your place here, no matter if you are familiar or not with these topics.

Since WordPress implies knowledge of CSS, HTML, JS, PHP ..., these kind of topics are covered here also.

Graphic design is practical need of each Website and Webmaster generally.

SEO and Marketing ... everyone need.

The conclusion is that in this way we cover the needs of all Webmasters, but we just pointed out these two subjects.

NetPen forum is dedicated to WordPress and Graphic design, but don't hesitate to get involved in discussions, no matter are you newbies or "gurus". In this Forum NO ONE will "mock" you or something similar if you don't know something, but we will tell you if we think that you don't, just to make and help you to learn it properly.

This way, maybe someone who didn't know or who knew a little about it, would become interested to learn and be a professional in WordPress or Graphic Design also, or just find a way to deal with some aspects of these subjects without a need to hire someone else to do it.

None of us should be "afraid" that by sharing a knowledge would lose potential clients.

The quality of your works attracts clients not their ignorance!
P.S. Comments and suggestions are very, welcome!

One of the most common practice in Forums generally is to insert images into your posts or replies. It is not always easy and certainly not a quick way to upload or insert image/s in posts. But we made it possible to you to upload and insert image/s in posts by just one click!
You don't have to register or login to upload desired image there and use it on our Forum.

Just look below editor either while making New Post or New Thread!

NetPen Forum is a social forum where Webmasters, Designers and Developers can gather and talk shop or discuss many non design, developing related topics. It's also a place where members can give and get advise on design or develop related issues. It is at it's core though a forum full of webmasters, designers and developers of all skill levels and various related professionals. With that understanding it really makes no sense to fill your signature with what amount to advertisements of your services or products. The saying "trying to sell ice to Eskimos" sums it up nicely.

To those of you who post links just in the hope that the search spiders will follow them don't bother. We have no follow attributes inserted into every link. All that will happen is the text will get indexed. But it won't get any extra crawling done on your website.

We allow members to post one link to their portfolio in their sigs if they so choose. That can come back to haunt them in the long run though. We do not allow logos, links to services, ads for services, links to various social networking sites that showcase services, blogs or any other forms of borderline advertising.

Use your signature space to quote your favorite book or song. Use it to express your creativity in whatever manner you wish. After all Webmasters, Designers and Developers are all about Creativity!

There are no clear rules, but below are some guidelines you may want to follow:

  1. Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
  2. Search the other posts to see if your topic is already covered.
  3. Use a meaningful title for your thread.
  4. Do not use a forum to promote your product, service or business.
  5. Be civil. Personal differences should be handled through email or IM and not through posts displayed to everyone.
  6. Stay on topic.
  7. Ignore spammers, respond to them personally and not through the board, or report them.
  8. Do not submit a post that requires readers to download a large attachment. Either explain the attachment or, better yet, provide a link to the information.
  9. Use plain text over HTML if you want your post to be readable by everyone.
  10. In order to be understood by most people, use correct spelling, grammar and avoid slang unless you know the word or phrase will be understood by other members.
  11. Do not double post (post the same message twice in one thread) or cross post (place the same message across several forums).
  12. Act in a give and take manner; help others as often as or more than you ask for help.
  13. Do not use all caps or SHOUT in your posts. In addition, one exclamation point is enough.
  14. When replying to a post, do not quote more from the previous post than you have to.
  15. Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.
  16. Do not use someone else’s thread for a private conversation.
  17. This forum prohibit warez, cracks or illegal downloading of software and similar topics.
  18. Watch your sense of humor, posts may be read by people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.
  19. Do not use a huge and annoying signature, a modest signature is fine, moderators may remove large ones anyway.
  20. Do not post any information that you want private. Posts should not contain personal, identifiable information or content embarrassing to others.
  21. Do not post content that violates a copyright.
  22. Do not post ”empty” or useless responses, such as just ”lol” or ”cool.” Only post responses when you have something to contribute.
  23. Write concisely and do not ramble.
  24. Do not use words like ”urgent” or ”important” in your subject line, be patient.
  25. Do not chastise newbies.

I. General Forum Rules:

Do not:
  • Flame or insult other members.
  • Bypass the swear filter or other filters.
  • Abuse or encourage abuse of the Reputation, Post Reporting, or Private Messaging Systems
  • Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
  • Bump threads
  • Derail a thread's topic.
  • Post links to phishing sites.
  • Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, rickrolls) or Re-post Closed, Modified, Deleted Content.
  • Repetitively post in the incorrect forum (example: trade requests belong in trading forum).
  • Openly argue with a moderator. Contact the Moderator via a private message.
  • Share your account. Forum accounts are intended for the use by one person.
  • Create alternate, backup, or multiple accounts.
  • Publicly post or otherwise share PMs with other users unless you have the expressed permission of the sender to do so. Private Messages are intended to be just that - private.
II. The following topics are strictly off limits, including in external links:
  • Porn, gross stuff, or anything else not safe for work
  • Piracy, warez, Leaked content.
*Any* discussion of piracy will result in a permanent ban from the NetPen Forums.

  • Posting copyrighted material such as magazine scans
  • Soliciting, begging, auctioning, selling, advertising, referrals
  • Racism, discrimination
  • Drugs, alcohol
  • Religious, political, and other “prone to huge arguments” threads
III. No Member "Moderating":

Let the Forum Moderators do the moderating. Backseat Moderating is when people who are not Moderators try to enforce the forum rules. Whenever you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the "Report this post to a moderator" link. Or simply IGNORE the offensive post(s) or thread. The most common backseat reply is the "+1 in before lock" phrase. Backseat moderating is annoying, and pointless.

IV. Report Post to the Moderators:

Should you observe a fellow forum member breaking these rules please report the post by clicking the Report button "[Image: report.gif]" located to the right/below of every post, or feel free to contact any of the Forum Stuff.

V. Lifetime "Award":

Users who are found to be repeat offenders will be removed from the forums.
